Stravinsky’s iconic ballet, The Rite of Spring, returns this spring as the CSO teams up for our 5th production with master choreographer Gianni Gino DiMarco, and the dancers of City Ballet of Boston. Tony Williams, Artistic Director, to stage one of the great ballets of the twentieth century.

Party like it's 1945! To celebrate the 80th anniversary of WWII VE Day the Compaq Big Band with Vocalist Aviana Gedler will be featured at this USO-themed dance co-presented by the Fort Devens Museum and the Greater Boston Vintage Society.

Doors Open 6:00 PM. Free group-friendly introductory dance lesson at 6:00 PM presented by Francis Floyd Ballroom Dance. The Compaq Big Band plays from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM.

Vocalist Aviana Gedler, a rising Boston sensation, out front channeling’ Ella Fitzgerald, Diana Krall, Linda Eder, Mariah Carey, and more.

Aviana is a jazz singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist, with an unwavering passion for music and performance artistry. She placed second in the 2024 Ella Fitzgerald Jazz Vocal Competition, and has showcased her talent in many performances across the Midwest, including Iowa City Jazz Festival and the “Jazz in July” concert series in Des Moines, Iowa. In 2022, she received the 2021 and 2022 Downbeat Magazine awards for “Best Vocal Jazz Soloist” in the community college division. Aviana currently studies at the New England Conservatory in Boston with Dominque Eade and Ran Blake, where she enjoys collaborating with other musicians and performing in the New England area.
